Matthew 25:31-46

Who Will Be in Heaven?

May 19, 2025 by Dr. Jeff Warren

In this exploration of Matthew 25:31-46, we’re confronted with the profound question: Who will be in heaven? The passage paints a vivid picture of the final judgment, where Jesus separates the ‘sheep’ from the ‘goats.’ We’re reminded that the King of Kings will be there in all his glory, but surprisingly, it’s not our grand accomplishments that matter most. Instead, it’s our everyday acts of compassion and service to ‘the least of these’ that truly reflect our relationship with Christ. This challenges us to examine our hearts and actions – are we living as loyal subjects of the King, or merely paying lip service? The message urges us to move beyond surface-level Christianity and embrace a faith that transforms us from the inside out, leading to genuine care for others. It’s a powerful call to live out our faith in tangible ways, recognizing that when we serve others, we’re serving Christ himself.
