Planting Churches. Reaching Dallas. Advancing the Gospel.
Park Cities Baptist Church and Texas Baptists partner through the Church Planting Center to equip and support leaders called to start new churches across North Texas.
A Shared Mission for a Growing City
The Church Planting Center (CPC) is a collaborative effort between Park Cities Baptist Church and Texas Baptists to develop and send church planters throughout Dallas and beyond.
Our goal is simple — to see new, healthy churches established that faithfully share God’s Word and help people find and follow Christ.
About the Church Planting Center
The CPC exists to identify, equip, and support leaders called to plant churches. Through intentional training, meaningful relationships, and strategic resources, we help planters build strong foundations for long-term ministry.
We believe church planting is one of the most effective ways to reach growing and diverse communities with the gospel — and we are committed to doing that work together.
We encourage our members to go and plant churches… to scatter throughout the land as seed that God will bless.
Charles Spurgeon
Church planters participate in approximately six months of hands-on training designed to prepare them for the realities of ministry. The program focuses on both spiritual formation and practical leadership.
Training Includes:
- Vision casting and mission clarity
- Leadership development
- Building and growing volunteer teams
- Financial planning and budgeting
- Preaching, discipleship, and worship leadership
Trained By Faithful Leaders
Planters learn from pastors, ministry leaders, and practitioners actively serving in the field, including leaders from Park Cities Baptist Church, Texas Baptists, and partner churches. When you are part of the CPC, you are not planting alone. You join a network of churches, leaders, and organizations committed to the same mission — making Christ known across the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
We believe the work of the gospel is stronger when churches partner together.

A Word from the Director
“The Church Planting Center at Park Cities Baptist Church is built to provide a supportive and encouraging environment where church planters can thrive.
Our goal is to help planters grow in both confidence and clarity as they step into the responsibility of leading a new congregation. Through the CPC, leaders gain practical tools and real-world insight they can apply immediately in their ministry.
Just as important, planters discover they are not alone. We emphasize the value of strategic partnerships and shared mission — because lasting impact happens when we work together.
At the CPC, we are committed to helping plant churches that not only begin well, but truly transform the communities they serve.”
Dr. Kelly Hamilton
Virtually all the great evangelistic challenges of the New Testament are calls to plant churches.

FAQs
Is financial support available for church planters?
Church planters connected to the CPC may receive financial support based on need and assessment outcomes. In addition to funding, planters gain access to tools, relationships, and guidance to help them navigate each stage of planting — from early vision to long-term sustainability.
Aren’t there already enough churches in the DFW area?
While there are many churches in the region, the Dallas-Fort Worth population continues to grow rapidly. Our goal is to plant new, healthy churches that can reach emerging communities, while also supporting existing churches that need encouragement and renewal.
How are church planters identified and selected?
Individuals interested in partnering with the Church Planting Center go through an application and assessment process. This includes evaluating their calling, leadership ability, and readiness for ministry, as well as the health of their marriage and family life.
Based on this process, the CPC provides appropriate levels of support, including training, resources, and potential funding.
Does the CPC work with all denominations?
The Church Planting Center primarily partners with churches affiliated with Texas Baptists.
What resources does the CPC provide?
The CPC offers a range of support depending on each planter’s needs and stage of development. This may include financial assistance, training, coaching, and practical resources to help launch and sustain new and multiplying churches in Dallas-Fort Worth and beyond.
If you are exploring church planting or want to learn how to partner with the CPC, we would love to connect with you!
