Biblical Authority: Christ is the Final Word

This message from Hebrews 4:12–13 explores what makes the Bible different from every other ancient text: it is the living Word of the living God. Scripture is not simply a collection of historical writings or timeless wisdom, but God’s active Word that continues to speak, reveal truth, and transform lives.
The description of God’s Word as “living and active” reminds us that Scripture is continually at work within us. Like the sun sustaining life even when we are unaware of its effects, God’s Word shapes our hearts and minds in ways we may not always immediately recognize or understand. Through Scripture, the Spirit speaks and draws us toward greater dependence on and obedience to Christ.
This message challenges us to make engaging with God’s Word a consistent rhythm of our lives. Reading Scripture is more than a religious obligation — it is an opportunity to encounter the living God and allow his truth to examine us, sustain us, and transform us as we become more like Jesus.
