Healing of the Paralytic
Caleb Rhoades – August 2, 2026
This message from Mark 2 explores the powerful story of four friends who stop at nothing to bring a paralyzed man to Jesus. Faced with obstacles and an overcrowded house, they demonstrate a faith that is active, determined, and willing to do whatever it takes to place their friend in the presence of Christ.
Their example reminds us that genuine faith is more than belief — it moves us to action. When we truly recognize who Jesus is, we are compelled to seek him wholeheartedly and to help others encounter his transforming grace. The friends’ persistence reveals that no barrier is too great when our confidence is placed in Christ.
This message challenges us to examine the depth of our own faith. Are we pursuing Jesus with urgency, and are we willing to remove obstacles so that others can experience his forgiveness, healing, and hope? As we meet the Messiah, we discover a faith that not only transforms our own lives but also leads others into his presence.
