While our financial gifts and acts of service are vitally important to accomplishing our planned ministries as a church, they are also critical in allowing us to readily respond in the name of Jesus in times of crisis – by providing food, supplies, clothing, and monetary support to partners across the globe.

Current Global Disaster Relief Efforts

Because of your generosity, PCBC is able to respond quickly in times of crisis, providing resources through trusted ministry partners serving communities locally and around the world.

This September, PCBC has designated the following funds in disaster relief support:

Colombia Earthquake Relief

$10,000 to Samaritan’s Purse

PCBC’s gift to Samaritan’s Purse assisted in the airlifting of 100,000 pounds of relief to Colombia to assist families after a powerful earthquake that struck in the western part of the country, killing hundreds of people. The earthquake destroyed at least 1,600 homes and damaged thousands more. Many grieving families have lost their homes and people are living in makeshift shelters as rescue teams continue searching through the rubble for survivors.
Samaritan’s Purse 767 aircraft departed their Airlift Response Center in Greensboro, North Carolina on August 13 loaded with shelter supplies, solar lights, and hygiene kits.

Nepal Flooding Relief

$10,000 to Texans on Mission

$5,000 to Reach South Asia

A devastating flash flood has struck Nepal, leaving at least 469 people dead and more than 1,300 missing. Communities have been devastated, homes and infrastructure have been destroyed, and thousands of people are facing an uncertain future as rescue and relief efforts continue.
In response, a highly specialized and experienced Texans on Mission team is deploying to help meet immediate needs through mass feeding and clean-water solutions.
PCBC’s gift is helping provide the resources needed to serve alongside a trusted Nepalese partner, providing food and clean water to people affected by the disaster.

Hurricane Melissa Disaster Relief

In light of the Category 5 storm in Jamaica and eastern Cuba, the PCBC Mission Committee voted to distribute emergency funding of $10,000 to Texans on Mission and $10,000 to East-West Ministries.

July 2025

Hill Country Disaster Relief

In response to the devastating flooding in Kerr County and across the Hill Country, the PCBC Missions Committee designated $10,000 to Texans on Mission to support their ongoing relief efforts for those impacted by this tragedy.

OCTOBER 2024

Hurricane Milton Disaster Relief

Park Cities Baptist Church sent $10,000 to TBM : Texans on Mission to aid in relief efforts in Florida following the impact of Hurricane Milton. TBM deployed an industrial-size generator, mass mobile feeding kitchen, shower/laundry unit, and flood recovery tools to aid Floridians.

Hurricane Helene Disaster Relief

Park Cities Baptist Church sent $10,000 to TBM: Texans on Mission to assist in humanitarian aid for those affected by Hurricane Helene. Please continue to pray for safety and peace for all those affected.

september 2024

Middle East Disaster Relief

In light of the devastating events taking place in the Middle East, Park Cities Baptist Church sent $10,000 to TBM: Texans on Mission, to assist in their disaster relief efforts in Israel. Volunteers with TBM are on the ground in Israel, providing meals and humanitarian aid to those who have lost their homes and others who are sheltering in bunkers across the area.

August 2023

Maui Disaster Relief

In light of the tragic wildfires in Lahaina, PCBC sent $10,000 to TBM: Texans on Mission to aid in the relief efforts for the victims in Maui.

Texans on Mission worked on the ground in Hawaii and provided aid through longstanding partners to send food, diapers, and other supplies.

February 2023

Turkey-Syria Earthquake Disaster Relief

On February 6, a massive earthquake struck portions of Turkey and Syria, the deadliest earthquake worldwide since 2010. A winter storm followed the earthquake, causing delays in rescue efforts and further harming survivors trapped in the rubble. As of February 14, the combined death toll rose to 36,000.

In response to this tragedy, PCBC sent resources from our Disaster Relief Fund to our ministry partners, World Vision, Blessings International, and TBM: Texans on Mission as they provided aid to Turkey and Syria.

March 2022

Ukraine Disaster Relief

As the crisis in Ukraine escalated, PCBC sent resources to our ministry partners directly serving the Ukrainian people impacted by war, violence, and displacement. Because of your generosity to our Disaster Relief Fund, we were able to provide resources to East West, Orphan Outreach, and the Baptist World Alliance as they served affected people groups in Ukraine.
