Luke 8; John 20

Mary Magdalene: I Will Proclaim the Lord

September 21, 2025 by Dr. Jeff Warren

In this message, we’re challenged to confront the spiritual battles raging around and within us. Drawing from the story of Mary Magdalene in Luke 8 and John 20, we’re reminded that Jesus has the power to cast out our personal ‘demons’ — whether they’re addictions, destructive habits, or spiritual oppression. The key lesson here is that once we’re captured by God’s grace, we’re called to connect deeply with His mission. This isn’t just about attending church; it’s about being fully present, serving, and prioritizing our relationship with Christ above all else. As we reflect on Mary’s transformation and her role as the first witness to the resurrection, we’re encouraged to examine our own lives. Are we merely connected to Jesus, or are we truly walking with Him? This message urges us to listen for Christ’s voice calling our name, just as He called Mary’s, and to respond with immediate obedience to His commission.
