Malachi

Lesson 10: God’s Love is Purifying

August 04, 2025 by Taylor Lowrey

As we wrap up our summer sermon series, we’re challenged to examine our relationship with God through the lens of the book of Malachi. Just as the Israelites had grown skeptical and distant from God, we too can fall into the trap of going through the motions without truly trusting him. The key lesson here is that God’s love and character remain unchanging, even when we falter. We’re reminded that God’s immutability – his unchanging nature – is our anchor in times of doubt and difficulty. This truth is beautifully illustrated through the story of Israel’s journey and God’s consistent faithfulness, culminating in the promise of Jesus. As we reflect on this, we’re encouraged to renew our trust in God, knowing that his promises are always fulfilled, even if not in the ways we expect. This message invites us to move beyond surface-level faith and truly engage with the God who loves us unconditionally.
