National Day of Prayer

May 1 @ 7:00 am - 7:00 pm

This year’s National Day of Prayer will be an all-day event of prayers to God for our country, churches, and families – and empowering each believer to pray where they are. This will be an important day to turn our hearts to the Lord and lift up our country with hope and expectation.

Please join us from wherever you may be throughout the day, as we pray for the following:

Pray for the Government

  • Pray for wisdom in making decisions, asking that leaders will do what is right, not just what is easiest.
  • Pray for a renewed commitment to integrity.
  • Pray for the softened hearts of leaders to hear and understand the needs of the communities they serve.

Pray for the Military

  • Pray for all branches of the military – Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard.
  • Pray for wisdom in the minds of civilian and military leadership.
  • Pray for a year of peace among the nations.

Pray for the Media

  • Pray that God would raise up talented men and women to use their creativity to glorify God.
  • Pray that believers would respond to what they see in the news with prayer and not with passiveness.
  • Pray that the redemptive heart of God would be on display in a number of forms of arts and entertainment.

Pray for Businesses and Workplaces

  • Pray that business leaders would make wise choices and would have integrity in their dealings.
  • Pray that workers would not find their identity in their production but in Christ.
  • Pray that God would uncover greed and corruption in the various industries throughout the country.

Pray for Education

  • Pray that educators would have a passion for instruction and encouragement.
  • Pray that children would be protected at school from bullying and those who seek to do them harm.
  • Give educators and administrators who follow Christ opportunities to glorify God through their witness.

Pray for the Church

  • Pray that God would use the church to speak wisely and winsomely into the world around her.
  • Pray that pastors would courageously speak out against oppression and abuse of power.
  • Pray that the church would be focused on making disciples throughout the world.

Pray for Families

  • Pray for humility and affection when speaking to others in our homes.
  • Pray that grace would be the heart of Christian families.
  • Pray that God would rescue spouses and children from abusive situations.
