DESCRIPTION:Join us this fall for We Believe: A Deep Dive\, a special Wednesday night series led by Pastor Jeff Warren alongside guest scholars\, theologians and professors as we explore the biblical truths and Baptist distinctives that have shaped the church for generations. Each evening concludes with a conversation and audience Q&A\, offering practical insight into how these truths inform our everyday lives. \nOn Sept. 9\, Dr. Mark Yarbrough\, president of Dallas Theological Seminary\, will examine the doctrine of Sola Scriptura and what it means to recognize Scripture as the ultimate authority for our faith and practice. Together\, we’ll explore why the Bible remains foundational for followers of Jesus and how the Baptist tradition has understood biblical authority throughout its history. We’ll also consider how PCBC affirms the 1963 Baptist Faith and Message\, which declares the Bible to be God’s inspired revelation\, the supreme standard for faith and practice\, and a testimony that ultimately points us to Jesus Christ. \nRegister Wednesday Night Childcare \n\n\n\nABOUT DR. MARK YARBROUGH\n \nDr. Mark M. Yarbrough is the sixth president of Dallas Theological Seminary and professor of Bible Exposition. He is a pastor\, educator and Bible teacher committed to the careful exposition of Scripture and the equipping of leaders for ministry. \nHis academic and teaching focus emphasizes the unity and theological coherence of the Bible’s grand narrative\, with attention to sound interpretation and faithful application. He is the founder of the Story of Scripture initiative and speaks regularly in churches\, conferences and academic settings. \nDr. Yarbrough also regularly leads biblical study tours to Israel\, Egypt\, Turkey\, Greece and Germany.
